It didn't take long for them to show up and come over to check me out. When I am that close it makes for great detailed photos and its just great fun! Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus) I have been trying to photograph this medium-sized owl since late October early November. Every time I spotted him I was unable to get a photo. After many attempts through the winter, yesterday changed. I spotted him and got this shot, then he few off as usual.
