Hey, Sis, It's a Nikon Camera

 "Hey  Sis, It's a Nikon Camera"  I set up a camera for my husband to activate  and then sat in our yard and waited for the fawns I had seen earlier.   It didn't take long for them to show up and come over to check me out.   When I am that close it makes for great detailed photos and its just  great fun!  They are Sitka Blacktail deer whi

Short-eared Owl

 Short-eared  Owl (Asio flammeus)  I have been trying to photograph this medium-sized  owl since late October early November.  Every time I spotted him I was  unable to get a photo.  After many attempts through the winter,  yesterday changed.  I spotted him and got this shot, then he few off  as usual.

 "Keeping  Up With Mom"  Late summer and early fall is such a wonderful time for  photographing Haida Gwaii's black bears.  I was sitting in a net blind  watching for any bear that might happen by when, as luck would have it,  these three bears walked by.  They were on a mission so didn't give me  lots of photographic opportunities but I
