While out taking aurora photos, I turned  southwesterly and was able to capture the milky-way with two meteors  showing.  There are so many photo opportunities with the night sky.   Photographed on Haida Gwaii, BC, Canada. 

  "Early  Dawn and Aurora"  This is the first time that I managed to capture a  breaking dawn and a very strong Aurora in the same image. Usually as  soon as the sky begins to lighten, the aurora fades away. Not so this  night with the orange dawn breaking across the horizon.  Photographed  over Hecate Strait, Haida Gwaii, BC, Canada. 

 "Nature  Reclaiming"  I wanted to show my visiting grandsons some of the old  abandoned logging rail cars that I had previously found and photographed  several years ago.  Our expedition into the bush to relocate them was  interesting.  We knew where they were but had a difficult time spotting  them.  Nature is taking them back.  This shot is of one of the large  wheels and the hitch.  Moss, ferns and fallen trees have really taken  hold.  Another 10 years and they may disappear.
